Only a day earlier, he was his usual clowning self at the recording of a duet (Guru O Guru) with Asha Bhonsle. It was getting to be such a laugh-riot that Asha had to plead with him, "Kishore-da, aur hasaayaa mujhe to main gaa nahin sakungi." When Bappi Lahiri asked him to "put more expression into the song, Kishore jested, 'Ask the producer to give me Rs 200 extra and I'll give more expression.'" Twenty three years have elapsed, but Kishore still lives. Will always live.

I love all Kishore Kumar songs. He is the greatest singer I have ever listened to. He had the range of a genius and a range that is so inimitable, that not even another genius can emulate that range. He is an epitome of natural genius for singing and music. He was such a great natural singer, that despite of all his theatrics during Stage Shows, not even for once, he used to miss a note. EFFORTLESS is the word for his musical genius. He is an immortal singer and there can never be, and never will be another Kishore Kumar. He has inspired so many brilliant singers and still continues to be a phenomenon more than two decades after his death. Generation after generation Kishore Kumar will be loved for his range, his versatality and his resonant voice. Pal Pal Dil ke Pas..... i have been singing this song from my school days..... since I have very sweet memories of Kishore Da which I will preserve in my heart for the rest of my life..... this happened when Sanmukha Anand Hall was being Inaugurated..... and the first show was organized by Shiv Sena..... me and my dad had been to Kishore Da's Home and I have played harmonium sitting on his lap.... i was just 10yrs old then...... from there on..... i have been a gr8 fan of Kishore Da's songs because i feel he was the only singer who sang from his heart and not just for singing and making money.....

I have been visiting this site and listening to the songs for the last four years. Great job Sanjeev, really can't thank enough, it is such a huge collection. As far as Kishoreda is concerned, he was a phenomenon, a genius, unparalleled, an extremely gifted person, his voice was magical, someone who is born once in a thousand years. He has made himself immortal through his voice, I am sure he will be heard for generations to come.
